In Vietnamese cuisine, Bánh tráng nướng is a type of Bánh tráng, rice crackers consumed in southern Vietnam. They are particularly popular in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). They are large, round, flat rice crackers, which, when heated, enlarge into round, easily shattered pieces. They can be eaten separately, although they are most commonly added into the vermicelli noodle dishes like cao lầu and mì quảng. Many types of bánh tráng exist, including the clear sesame seed ones, prawn-like cracker with dried spring onions, and sweet milk.

Dream House - SaiGon Travel Guide

Hình ảnh
Each of us has a few simple dreams to the high, and we still collect those dreams over time, because who taxes us? And I also had a dream from big toes. Strangely, I dream of becoming a woman with a happy family. Perhaps, my dream is small and humble. Who among us would not have a family, a home for their own? What does that need to do? Why not dream bigger, more mysterious, such as becoming a successful or outstanding talent? But you know, happiness sometimes comes from things that are very close and normal. For me, nothing is more precious than family affection, and nothing more sacred than happiness between husband and wife, between parents and children. Everything can try to achieve, but happiness will not be alone because you try that. saigon travel guide

https://youtu.be/e02mhpIFbhM A Brief History of Saigon's Independence Palace Published on Monday, 31 October 2016 17:01  Written by Saigoneer. Fifty years ago today, South Vietnam’s then-president Nguyen Van Thieu inaugurated the city’s Independence Palace on October 31, 1966. However, before the land at the western end of Le Duan Boulevard housed this building, it was the site of the French Palace of the Government, also known as Norodom Palace. Constructed between 1868 and 1873, the original palace was built by Frenchman Georges l’Hermitte, the first Beaux Arts-trained architect to work in Indochina. The grand colonial structure came with a price tag of 12.5 million francs. The original French-built Norodom Palace. Photo via Flickr user  manhhai . Despite the time, money and effort that went into the French-built structure, the palace’s practical use was short-lived. Though it briefly served as a residence for the Governor of Cochinchina, governmental resh...

https://youtu.be/BAiXYVBLRS0 SaiGon Travel Guide – LGBT SaiGon Viet Nam Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) persons in Vietnam may face legal challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents. Both male and female same-sex sexual activity is legal and is believed to never have been criminalized in Vietnamese history.[2] However, same-sex couples and households headed by same-sex couples are ineligible for the legal protections available to opposite-sex couples. Although homosexuality is generally considered a taboo because of the Vietnamese tradition, awareness surrounding LGBT rights has risen during the 21st century. Reports of discrimination against LGBT people are not uncommon, however, with about 20% of LGBT people reported being beaten by family members when coming out.[3] Vietnam’s first gay pride parade peacefully took place in Hanoi on August 5, 2012. Since then, pride parades have been held annually in dozens of other cities and provinces.[4][5] In November...

http://saigontravelguide.net/ https://youtu.be/rBMiitigVT0 Saigon is Vietnam’s commercial headquarters brash and busy with a keen sense of its own importance as Vietnam emerges from years of austerity to claim a place in the “Asian Tiger” economic slugfest. Located on the Saigon River, Ho Chi Minh City is Vietnam’s major port and largest city, with an estimated population of over eight million people, most of whom cruise the town’s clogged arteries on an estimated three million motorbikes. True to its reputation, the city is noisy, crowded, and dirty, but the central business district is rapidly developing in steel-and-glass precision to rival any city on the globe. The old Saigon still survives in wide downtown avenues flanked by pristine colonials. Hectic and eclectic, Ho Chi Minh City has an attitude all its own. Saigon is a relatively young Asian city, founded in the 18th century, but its history tells the story of Vietnam’s recent struggles. Settled mainly by civil war r...

The Vietnam War (Vietnamese: Chiến tranh Việt Nam), also known as the Second Indochina War,[60] and in Vietnam as the Resistance War Against America (Vietnamese: Kháng chiến chống Mỹ) or simply the American War, was a conflict that occurred in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from 1 November 1955[A 1] to the fall of Saigon on 30 April 1975. It was the second of the Indochina Wars and was officially fought between North Vietnam and the government of South Vietnam. The North Vietnamese army was supported by the Soviet Union, China and other communist allies and the South Vietnamese army was supported by the United States, South Korea, Australia, Thailand and other anti-communist allies.[61] The war is therefore considered a Cold War-era proxy war.[62] The war is considered a humiliation for the Unite...

She is the Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City, one of the unique architectural works of Saigon, the destination of domestic and foreign tourists, the characteristics of tourism in Vietnam. Shortly after the capture of Saigon, France set up churches for the celebration of the Mass for Catholics. The first church was built in the street No. 5 (now Ngo Duc Ke street). This is a small temple of the Vietnamese deserted by the war, Father Lefebvre remodeled this temple into a church.
